Lab 5 tips and links

Hey you've made it this far, good for you. Now are you ready for the toughest lab in the class!!! Well this isn't it, basically because we did everything in AWS lab 5 is already done for you, you basically don't have to set anything up at all.
If you were working in VMWare or something else with less tools you might want to set up Nagios, but setting up Nagios is a pain in the ass. If you want to play around with it heres a working guide I found: http://www.unixmen.com/how-to-install-nagios-core-4-1-1-in-ubuntu-15-10/
I recommend you play around with it if you want to do linux system administration as a job (every programming challenge I have had so far for internships has involved nagios in some way).
However back to this lab so in aws you don't have to set up any monitoring tools at all because AWS already has a default one set up for your called CloudWatch, you can find it under the aws console home under management tools. You just have to pick out what info you want to monitor from what instances by clicking a check box and it will make a fancy graph for you! If you want to be really fancy and monitor your Route 53 stuff too you can go into the Route 53 menu and also make some health checks that warn you if any of your domains, addresses or instance IP's cant be accessed via http (i.e. port 80), but you dont have to.
